What’s a Rise & Dive™ Signature Cozumel Dive Trip Like?
This is the retreat Nicole built from home.
When she’s not in Minneapolis or leading a dive trip, Nicole spends most of her time in Cozumel. She knows these reefs the way most trip leaders know a brochure. She has deep relationships with the local dive operations, knows the people in the water, and knows which sites suit which divers on which day. That is not something you get from a trip leader who flies in for the week. It shapes every decision from the moment you land.
Each trip is personally hosted by Nicole, who selects the accommodations, coordinates the diving, and manages every on-the-ground detail so the experience runs smoothly from arrival to departure. Transfers, lodging, daily transport to the marina, it’s all handled. You focus on the diving.
Nicole dives alongside the group all week. She’s on the boats, she’s underwater, and she’s present in a way that shapes the entire experience. Nicole is a PADI Instructor and the creator of Dive Somatics™, a trauma-informed, somatic approach to diving centered on body awareness, breath, and women’s empowerment in and out of the water. For women who want to go deeper than logging dives, this is where that happens.

What’s the diving like in Cozumel?
Cozumel is consistently ranked among the best dive destinations on the planet and it earns it every time.
Visibility regularly exceeds 100 feet. Water temps hold in the low 80s°F year-round. The reefs are healthy, the marine life is abundant, and the variety of sites means every diver finds her depth. Shallow coral gardens for those easing in. Drift dives and dramatic walls for those ready to push further. Towering sponges, coral arches, swim-through tunnels, eagle rays, stingrays, schools of barracuda, and if you’re lucky, the Splendid Toadfish, found nowhere else in the world.
Diving is done by boat with local divemasters and operators Nicole knows and trusts. Conditions in July are warm, clear, and consistent. It’s a week of real diving in water that rewards it.

Payment Schedule
Deposit – Due at sign up
- $500 Deposit Due at sign up
Payment 1 – Due April 19, 2026
- April 19, 2026 – 1/2 of remaining total
Payment 2 – June 3, 2026
- June 3, 2026 – Final payment due
If you sign up after the payment due dates, you will pay the amount owing as of the date of signing up, in order to bring your account up to date.
Final Payment amount is dependent on which rooming arrangement you signed up for.
If you sign up with less than 45 days until the trip date, full payment is due at the time of sign-up.
Cancellation Policy
Deposits and payments are non-refundable. Trip insurance is highly recommended. Please find detailed terms and conditions for the Rise & Dive trips here.
If you sign up for a Double Occupancy room without a roommate, Rise & Dive will attempt to find one for you. If we are unable to find a roommate, the individual will be required to pay the Single Occupancy rate. Changes to the package and cancellation penalties do exist.

Is this trip women-only?
Yes. The July 18–25, 2026 Cozumel Dive Escape is a women-only scuba diving trip created to celebrate PADI Women’s Dive Day and Women’s Dive Week.
What level of certification do I need to join?
This trip is open to both certified divers and those who want to earn their Open Water certification during the trip. Open Water certification dives can be completed while in Cozumel, with required coursework completed online prior to arrival.
Certified divers who are interested in additional training or certifications during the trip can discuss those options in advance.
Is this trip connected to PADI Women’s Dive Day?
Yes. This PADI Women’s Dive Day trip Cozumel is intentionally scheduled around Women’s Dive Day and expands the celebration into a full Women’s Dive Week experience.
What is the diving like in Cozumel?
Cozumel is known for clear water, healthy reef systems, and world-class drift diving. Dives are conducted by boat with a local operator and are well suited for women divers who enjoy warm water, consistent conditions, and vibrant marine life.
Will Nicole be diving with the group?
Yes. Nicole dives with the group throughout the week. She’s on the boats, she’s underwater, and she’s present the entire time. Her role as trip leader doesn’t stop at logistics.
What is included in the trip price?
Trip pricing includes accommodations, daily breakfast, organized diving, airport transfers, daily transportation related to diving, and trip leadership. A full list of inclusions and exclusions is outlined in the pricing section above.
Do I need to bring my own dive gear?
You may bring your own dive gear or arrange rentals through us. Gear rental is not included in trip price.
I don’t have a roommate. Can I still book double occupancy?
Yes. Book your preferred room type and Rise & Dive™ will work to find a match. If one can’t be secured before the trip, the single occupancy rate applies. Reach out to Nicole if you have questions before booking.
What is Dive Somatics™ and what does it look like on this trip?
Dive Somatics™ is Nicole’s original framework, a trauma-informed, somatic approach to diving that works with body awareness, breath, and the nervous system to support women feeling more grounded and empowered underwater and on land too. On this trip it shows up as a dedicated introduction session.
